  1.  Error messages

  4. The error messages produced by UniMode2 are generally self-explanatory. If
  5. an error occurs the application will try to indicate what is wrong. Three
  6. kinds of errors can be generated. The type of error is displayed in the
  7. Titlebar of the errorwindow:
  8.  
  9. * "Error from UniMode2 Task Dying"
  10.  
  11.         This indicates that the error is fatal. The errorbox will only
  12.         contain a CANCEL button. If you can repeat this error, try to find
  13.         out under which circumstances it occurs and report the error to the
  14.         authors.
  15.  
  16. * "Error from UniMode2 (Notify)"
  17.  
  18.         This error is generated when UniMode2 wants to give you a hint when
  19.         you are doing something wrong (eg. trying to save an MDF when it has
  20.         not yet been compiled). The errorbox will only contain an OK button.
  21.  
  22. * "Error from UniMode2 (Undecided)"
  23.  
  24.         This error is generated when UniMode2 can't decide whether an
  25.         errorcondition is fatal or not. In such a case you will have to make
  26.         an intelligent guess. The errorbox will contain both an OK and a
  27.         CANCEL button. OK lets the application continue. CANCEL quits the
  28.         application. Clicking OK may make the desktop become unstable and
  29.         other errors may follow...

  31. Below you will find a list of all the error messages that can be generated.
  32. (i.e. NOT the error messages produced by BASIC or the Wimp and reported
  33. THROUGH the application.) Where necessary an explanation of the error
  34. message is given.

  36. * Utility module not compatible with this version of !UniMode
  37.  
  38.         Do you have RISC OS 3.10??
  39.  
  40. * Can't handle more than one file at a time. (Enter a Modenumber or close
  41.   the window)
  42.  
  43. * Not a ModeDescriptionScript (MDS)
  44.  
  45.         This eror is generated when you have dragged a text-file to the
  46.         icon bar icon which is not a ModeDefinitionScript.
  47.  
  48. * Modenumber must be less than 128!
  49.  
  50. * Modenumber must be greater than or equal to 0!
  51.  
  52. * You must first compile the mode before you can save it.
  53.  
  54. * This is an old format Script. Click OK to convert the file to the new
  55.   format.
  56.   
  57. * Value does not fit in icon. Truncating!
  58.  
  59. * This mode is currently selected. Can't complete ModeLoad.
  60.  
  61.         You can't ModeLoad an MDF onto the modenumber that is the current
  62.         mode.
  63.  
  64.
